Annual Anniversary Celebration
ChildCareGroup is one of the oldest non profits in Dallas and was first chartered on September 14, 1901 as the Clara Chaison Free Kindergarten and Training School, the first free kindergarten in Texas. Our original location was one of the first ‘settlement houses’ in Texas where social services for the poor were offered. That first location was known as the Neighborhood House and was located on Cedar Springs Road in Dallas.
To honor our long and rich history, ChildCareGroup hosts a celebration each September for board members, board alumni, donors, community partners, elected officials and staff. Check here for updates on this year’s celebration.
